Education
I’m a big fan of ongoing learning, so I wanted to be sure to have part of my website share about other amazing practitioners, teachers and resources. Highlighted below are a few who have contributed to my own healing, knowledge and development.
If you’re looking for upcoming learning events and gatherings, check out Classes & Workshops, too!
Lymphatic Education and Fitness
Babz, founder of Balance with Babz, is a occupational therapist, lymphedema therapist and yoga teacher. She has a YouTube channel and Instagram where she highlights her proprietary style of Lymphatic Flow Yoga, as well as adaptive yoga practices.
Dr. Caitlin Czezowsky, founder of Doc Talks Detox, has several different course options and educational resources that teach people how to achieve proper drainage and detoxing at home. She also has excellent content on YouTube and Instagram.
Leah Levitan, founder of the Lymph Love Club, offers excellent short courses and informational videos, including the one below introducing the lymphatic system. Consider following her on YouTube and Instagram to level up your lymphatic understanding.
Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a type of energy work and stress-relief technique from Japan. Mikao Usui was credited as founder of Reiki about 1922. Reiki is guided by spiritual consciousness and is defined as spiritually guided life energy.
In general, Rei means universal and Ki means Life force energy. All energy healing uses chi or ki, but Rei is unique to Reiki. Reiki Practitioners are attuned to Rei or spiritual consciousness by a Reiki Master. Because Reiki is guided by universal consciousness, it can never do harm. I have been certified in Holy Fire Reiki Levels I and II and Reiho Reiki Level I and practicing Reiki since 2019.
Check out the videos below to learn a bit more about Reiki’s history and application.
Currently there are no local classes for Reiki. But, to keep up on when something pops up, be sure to follow me on Facebook or Instagram.
